India, a country of over one billion people, is as diverse a place as you can find anywhere on the planet. This is one of a series of shorts by Adam Hinton on the lives of people in Dharavi, a slum district of Mumbai. Abu runs a small scale leather business.

Adam received a bursary from the National Media Museum to document the redevelopment of Dharavi. The project won a prize in the Editoral Photo Essay category of the International Photography Awards and the accompanying website was a winner in the PDN Photo Annual awards.
