The work of Panos photographers Adam Dean and William Daniels which was commissioned by National Geographic this year has appeared in the magazine’s selection of Best Photos of 2017.

William Daniels worked for National Geographic in Bangladesh on the Rohingya crisis and around the world, including in the Democratic Republic of Congo, on a project about immunisation.

Adam Dean was commissioned to photograph in the Philippines on the ongoing war on drugs that has claimed thousands of lives.
